The Elias Corner Greek Restaurant in New York City has a friendly, casual feel with reasonable prices. Great place for fish - you can even see what's available in the cooler as you walk in the restaurant. There is no written menu, but twenty five bucks can get you an appetizer, salad, fish, wine, tax and tip. The fish dishes are based on what is available, which may be monk fish, salmon, flounder, red snapper, striped bass, or others. One of the best Greek restaurants in New York City. The calamari and the octopus make great appetizers, and the Greek salad is wonderful and side dishes include fried potentates and grilled zucchini and eggplant. Note that some great Greek bakeries are close by, on 31st and Broadway. Reservations not usually needed. |

Chef Jim Botsaco is amazing, and his take on Greek food is known across America. Molyvos Greek Restaurant in New York City opened in 1997 and was immediately granted 3 stars by the New York City Times and Esquire named it one of the best restaurants in America. The style is both home-style and upscale, with incredible food and stylish atmosphere, but the restaurant is not pretentious. The wine list at Molyvos Greek Restaurant in New York City is ground-breaking, reflecting the wonderful rich variety of Greek wine, plus wine from Lebanon, Morocco, Israel, Slovenia, as well as France and Italy. They also have an express lunch and "pre-theater" menus. |
