In Brooklyn, but a

DiFara's Pizza Restaurant in New York (Brooklyn)
424 Avenue J by 14th Street
718-392-1222
Cash only
Some say it's the best pizza in New York. It's in Brooklyn, though,
way out on the Q train. Everything is made to order, it's all fresh
mozzerella (buffallo) and gresh parmaesan, and nothing is rushed.
Even slices are made to order. DiFara's pizza has both round and
square pizzas. Layered crust. Wow! One of the best pizza
restaurants in New York. $2.50/slice.

Since 1905, in Manhattan
Lombardi's Pizza Restaurants in New York City

6 train at Spring Street
Between Mott and Mulberry Streets
Wow - oldest and first pizza restaurant in New York. Coal fired oven
(!) with long lines (it can take an hour), but it's worth it.$10.50-$12.50
per pizza, with fresh mozzarella, fresh romano, and fresh basil.
Amazing thin crust. Their meatballs are fresh and home made.
Check out the calzones, too, as well as the baked clams, portabello
mushrooms, and mesclum salad. Wine and beer, too. Known for
their fresh clam pizza (!)

Generous portions, good prices, amazing pasta. Love the antipasto

you've eaten your appetizers, then order your entrees, or you may feel
rushed.
